Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge - Week # 53

Our challenge this week was to make something that represents what could be your life verse, a place where God has revealed to you that you can trust in Him, something representing a turning point in your life, or just focusing on Psalm 56:3. This is more of an open challenge, something that only you understand. I want you to be encouraged and remember those special "Jesus and me" moments when the Lord truly revealed Himself to you and praise Him for it.
So I used my favorite verse that I live by. Here is my card:

I hope you like what I have done for this challenge. See you next week !!!

Stampin' Sisters in Christ- Challenge #51

This week we was to create a card of apology or one reaching out to someone and encouraging them to put the past behind them and move forward. I used this stamp set from Our Daily Bread. The saying is from Mother Teresa - " God doesn't require us to succed, He only requires that you try" I feel that this saying says for us to do our best and it's okay with God if we didn't succeed and not to beat ourselves up about not succeeding.

My Lifetime Story Challenge- Week # 4

This week we had to do a layout about our parents. I choose to use their wedding picture along with the last picture I have of my parents together before my father passed away. The journaling says:
My parents.....they were the best anyone could ask for.
They met in high school. My father made a bet with someone that he could/or couldn't get a date with my mother. He won !!! After graduating from high schoolmy father went into the Army. My mother became a telephone operator.
They was married on April 21, 1946.
The started out in St. Clairsville,Ohio and ended up in Malta,Ohio. There they raied four children.
My father worked for Central Ohio Coal Complany and my mother was a stay at home mom. We had a fun life growing up. Took vacations, camping trips, birthday celebrations and we won't forget the Sat. nite music parties.
My father passed away. April 3, 1992.
My mother will be 84 on April 1, 2010.
